Jade dyed Easter Eggs and we made resurrection cookies last night. Look how nicely her hair is growing out. We've been trying to talk her into cutting off the long part or at least doing away with the hat but she just isn't ready yet.
We also got her paperwork this week that she will start the gifted program next week at school. So smart, just like her mom, with just as many hang ups as her mom had if not more.
My 21 year old nephew only stopped wearing his hat last year. They're funny that way, aren't they? He looks so good now - and we keep telling him and he loves it! We got so used to him *in* a hat that it stopped being an issue...
ReplyDeleteShe will come round to seeing she is a pretty girl in her own time (and she is - that smile, that lovely sunny skin, those cheekbones, that colouring - lucky girl!). Meanwhile, you can just appreciate it and think, "Those are my genes!" LOL
